Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using Carry, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Carry (sitekiks.com).
Description of Service
Carry is a shared household management app designed for couples to organise tasks, shopping lists, events, and activity history in real time. The app uses cloud storage (Supabase) to sync data between paired household members. Features include voice-powered item capture with AI parsing, a shared shopping list, compliments, push notifications, and a visual item ageing system.
Account & Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use Carry. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@carry.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in conduct we reasonably determine to be harmful to other users or the service.
Household Pairing
Carry is designed for two users to share a household. When you pair with a partner using an invite code, both users gain access to the same shared data — including tasks, shopping items, history, and compliments. You acknowledge that your household partner can view all content you add to the shared household.
If either user leaves the household, shared data remains associated with the household. We are not responsible for disputes between household members regarding shared content.
Voice Capture & AI Features
Carry includes a voice capture feature that uses Apple's on-device speech recognition to transcribe your speech locally. The resulting text is sent to an AI service (OpenAI) for parsing into structured task data. By using voice capture, you consent to your transcribed text being processed by OpenAI in accordance with their privacy policy. Raw audio is never transmitted. You can use the manual text input option if you prefer not to use AI parsing.
User Content
You retain ownership of the content you create in Carry — including tasks, shopping items, and compliments. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, sync, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your household partner.
Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data and content within 30 days. Content created jointly with a partner may be retained in that partner's household until they also delete their account or request removal.
Subscriptions
Carry offers an optional paid subscription called Carry Plus, processed through the Apple App Store. All pricing is displayed in the app before purchase and managed via your Apple ID.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
No refunds are issued for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.
Free Trial
Carry Plus includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. No charge is made during the trial period. Your subscription will begin automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. Cancellation during the trial prevents any charge.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Carry only for lawful personal purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not: misuse or attempt to exploit the service; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or another user's account; use the app in a way that damages, disables, or impairs its functioning; or use the service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Carry — including but not limited to the design, text, graphics, and software — are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.
Third-Party Services
Carry integrates with third-party services including Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Expo, and Apple. Your use of features that rely on these services is also subject to their respective terms and policies. Apple is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for Carry or its content, and has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Carry is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from loss of data. You are responsible for maintaining independent backups of any critical information.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Carry, including but not limited to loss of data or relationship disputes arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence, including EU consumer law.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes within the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may hold under the laws of your country of residence.
